The District Magistrate is assisted by
a group of six Additional District Magistrates (ADM) viz.

Supervised by the District Magistrate &
the group of Additional District Magistrates, the Sub Divisional
Administration is headed by the Sub Divisional
Officer (Sub Divisional Magistrate). The Sub Divisional
Officers function as the Competent Authority under Urban Land
(Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1976. In discharge of all other
functions the SDM / SDO is assisted by a set of Deputy Magistrate &
Deputy Collectors. The Sub Divisions again are divided into several
Development Blocks headed by the Block
Development Officer (BDO). The Block Development Office is
the grass-root cutting edge of the administrative wing of the
Government.
